This place is a very good motel for pretty cheap to average price if you're a pack of 4 family members or more. I don't know why they don't use the hotel anymore but the foods were good. I don't understand why those two are complaining about very little things thinking this will be a grand 5 star hotel from the future. During dinner I have to admit, the food was disgusting, and there is dusts around the corners in each section of your room. Smells like your ordinary motel so nothing new here. There is water working, but a friend of mine didn't work so had to wait for 2 hours which wasn't a big deal to her, other than that a 3.5/5 good place to stay for a night or two with a group of friends (because of discount) haha
The rooms were kept clean and well maintained. Food was great and served with great manner. All of them are very friendly. I would visit this place again in the future.
Not good. Horrible. I attended with a group of about 80 people for a weekend and every room I stepped in smelled like strong mildew and I'm now physically sick (along with many others who are sick). We had to buy candles and fresheners to keep our rooms fresh. We had holes in our walls in my room and one of my friend's room ceiling was buckling in and they had to move her out of it. The feedback on the food was really bad. I couldn't take a shower because there was no hot water in my room (the next day I was able to take a hot shower) and at one point the main bathroom near the main facility had no running water so people couldn't flush the toilet or wash their hands. A friend saw one of the people working for the facility cleaning the floor with hand sanitizer. I highly advise staying away from this place.
My church just had a fall retreat at Glenwood this past weekend. We checked in on Friday afternoon. Our rooms were clean and warm. The Pocono mountain weather was certainly chilly this past weekend. Dinner was served at 6:00 pm and on the menu was a delicious roasted chicken dinner with vegetables, rice, dinner rolls and a delicious tossed salad. Dessert was also available for our group. Accommodations were made for those in our group with allergies to nuts. The conference room we had for our worship time was roomy enough for the 60 of us. The space was private and suited our needs. Breakfast on Saturday was a full breakfast including scrambled eggs, toast, hash browns, sausage, juice, milk and coffee. There was cereal available for those who didn't wish to have eggs. Fresh fruit was also made available for us. Lunch on Saturday afternoon included burgers (beef and chicken) with French fries. Our food was hot and very satisfying. Dinner on Saturday night was an Italian dinner of spaghetti and meatballs with Italian bread and another delicious salad. Our check out on Sunday morning went smoothly, and we all agreed it was a peaceful time of renewal for all. This weekend was just what we all needed to start the month of October!
We had a company retreat at Glenwood Inn & Conference Center two weeks ago. Everything went smoothly from check in to check out. The food was good and plentiful. Rooms were clean. The place is very peaceful. We were able to use the wide open spaces of land for our outdoor team building activities. Everyone in attendance came away refreshed and renewed.
